Slater's 9/11 Education Legislation Gains Support in New York

Assemblyman Matt Slater's legislation, A.7919 (Firefighter Joseph P. Spor Jr.'s Law), which aims to strengthen September 11 education in New York schools, is receiving support from the 9/11 Education Foundation. The bill would mandate the state education commissioner to establish a 9/11 awareness curriculum or instruction for school districts, ensuring future generations understand the events and impact of 9/11. State Senator Rob Rolison is also introducing the legislation in the Senate.
