Roanoke College Introduces Southwest Virginia Scholars Award, Offering Guaranteed Scholarships

Roanoke College has announced the Southwest Virginia Scholars Award, a new four-year scholarship program designed to provide $5,000 annually to first-year students from 24 counties and eight cities in Southwest Virginia. This scholarship, which has no income criteria and can be combined with other financial aid, aims to offer free tuition for high-need students in the region, starting with incoming first-year students in Fall 2027. The initiative is part of the college's commitment to expanding educational access and opportunity in the area.
