Education Department Rolls Out Earliest FAFSA Form in History

The U.S. Department of Education has launched the 2027-2028 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form today, marking the earliest release in the program's history since 2022. This initiative aims to simplify the financial aid application process for students and families, following previous years of delays and technical issues. The new process includes a simplified way to invite contributors to the form, no longer requiring a unique Contributor ID code.
