San Mateo County Community College District Faculty Avert Strike with New Three-Year Contract

Faculty at Skyline College, College of San Mateo, and Cañada College, represented by AFT1493, have ratified a new three-year contract, averting a strike. The agreement includes a 13% general salary increase over three years, one-time payments, increased district contributions to healthcare, academic-freedom protections, and a commitment to raise part-time instructional pay to 85% of full-time rates by 2027-28.
