Adams 12 School Board Approves Six School Closures Amid Enrollment Decline

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education in Colorado has voted to close five elementary schools and one middle school, affecting nearly 1,600 students, effective July 1, 2027. This decision addresses a significant decline of 7,400 students over eight years, with affected students to be reassigned and a new K-8 magnet school planned. This move reflects broader demographic shifts impacting school districts.
