U.S. Department of Education issues guidance on campus security requirements under Stop Campus Hazing Act
The U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) has released guidance (GEN-26-05) to remind institutions of higher education of their obligations under the Stop Campus Hazing Act, which was enacted on December 23, 2024. The Act amends the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, mandating that institutions disclose hazing incidents in their annual security reports, implement anti-hazing policies, and publish a Campus Hazing Transparency Report if hazing violations are identified.
