Nine Universities Under Investigation for Alleged J-1 Visa Fraud
Nine universities are currently under investigation by the Labor Department for allegedly abusing the J-1 visa program. Vice President JD Vance stated that subpoenas have been served to these higher education institutions, which are accused of bringing in too many noncitizens and undercutting the wages of American researchers. The J-1 visa program allows noncitizens to temporarily teach, lecture, conduct research, or receive graduate medical education.
