Texas Launches Second Annual Free College Application Week for Public Universities

Governor Greg Abbott announced the second annual Free College Application Week in Texas, running from October 12-18, 2026. During this period, Texas residents can apply to undergraduate programs at any public college or university in the state without paying an application fee. This initiative is part of broader efforts to make higher education more financially accessible, alongside a tuition freeze through the 2026-27 academic year.
