Governor Abbott Announces Over $20 Million In Career Training Grants Across Texas

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced over $20 million in Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grants, awarded through the Texas Workforce Commission. These grants will enable public junior, state, and technical colleges, along with school districts and open-enrollment charter schools, to purchase equipment for establishing or enhancing career and technical education (CTE) training programs that lead to high-demand careers. The initiative is projected to train more than 7,400 students in its first year.
