Five Texas Community Colleges Approved for New Workforce Pell Grants

Students at five community colleges in Texas can now access the new Workforce Pell grants to fund job training programs, following approval from the U.S. Department of Education. This marks the first time low-income Texas students can utilize federal grant money for short-term workforce training, with eligible programs including electrical power linemen, phlebotomy technicians, and HVAC training.
