California Students Show Continued Academic Gains, State Announces Record K-12 Education Funding

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that state assessment results for the 2025-2026 school year show continued statewide progress in English, math, and science for the third consecutive year. The state has also increased K-12 special education funding by $2.4 billion and provided a record $151.4 billion in total TK-12 education funding.
