North Carolina Launches Initiative to Train 500 School Employees as Teachers

North Carolina has announced a new Teacher Apprenticeship and Workforce Advancement Initiative, a $5.5 million federal program that will allow 500 teacher assistants, substitutes, and other school employees to become licensed teachers while retaining their jobs and paychecks.
