City Colleges of Chicago Faculty Authorize Strike for October 19

Faculty and professional staff at City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) have overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike, scheduled to begin on October 19. The decision stems from disputes over low wages, rising healthcare costs, and concerns regarding artificial intelligence. This impending walkout could impact tens of thousands of students across the seven-college system.
