Trump Administration to Restrict Federal Student Loan Eligibility for Programs Based on Graduate Salaries

The Trump administration plans to implement a policy starting July 2027 that will assess undergraduate programs based on their graduates' median salaries four years post-graduation. If these earnings fall below those of working adults with only a high school diploma, the university's program will lose access to federal funding and Pell Grants.
