Teachers' Union Sues Trump Administration Over Student Loan Forgiveness Delays

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), along with nine student loan borrowers, has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education and Secretary Linda McMahon. The lawsuit alleges that the department is delaying decisions for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program and improperly removing credit that borrowers had earned toward debt cancellation. This marks the third lawsuit the AFT has brought against the department in under two years.
