Poudre School District Board Votes to Close Four Schools and Consolidate Two High Schools

The Poudre School District Board of Education in Colorado has approved the closure of four schools—Beattie, Johnson, and Putnam elementary schools, and Blevins Middle School—and the consolidation of two alternative high schools, Centennial High School and Poudre Community Academy. These significant changes, which will be implemented over the 2027-28 and 2028-29 school years, are a response to declining birth rates, a high cost of living, and fewer families residing in the district.
