AFT President Highlights Public Education Support in Midterm Election Outcomes

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President, Randi Weingarten, stated that recent midterm election results indicate a clear rejection of private school vouchers and strong support for public education. She noted that candidates advocating for public schools won in key statewide races across Texas, Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio, as well as numerous congressional and school board contests, attributing these successes partly to union voters.
