College Board Report: Net College Tuition Prices Continue to Fall for Public Institutions

According to the College Board's 'Trends in College Pricing and Student Aid 2026' report, inflation-adjusted tuition and fees for in-district students at public colleges and universities declined by 12 percent between the 2016–17 and 2026–27 academic years, and by 8 percent for in-state students at public four-year universities.
