SAG-AFTRA Addresses AI Threat in the Workplace and Advocates for NO FAKES Act

SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland led a presentation at the AFL-CIO Convention on the threat of AI in the workplace, outlining a multi-pronged strategy involving collective bargaining, public policy, and member engagement. The union is also a leading advocate for the NO FAKES Act, which aims to establish a federal right of publicity to protect performers from unauthorized exploitation of their digital likenesses by AI systems.
