Meta Files Motion to Dismiss Wixen Music Publishing's Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Meta Platforms has moved to dismiss a $102 million copyright and tort lawsuit initiated by Wixen Music Publishing. Meta contends that the publisher is attempting to escalate a standard licensing disagreement into a broader legal battle. A court hearing on the dismissal motion is scheduled for early August.
