Google Launches $1 Million Fund to Support Indie Game Studios in Sub-Saharan Africa

Google has announced the creation of the Google Play Indie Games Fund for Africa, committing US$1 million to bolster independent game developers across Sub-Saharan Africa. This initiative aims to strengthen the region's burgeoning gaming industry by providing financial grants ranging from US$50,000 to US$200,000, alongside dedicated mentorship and technical guidance. The fund seeks to help local studios scale their businesses and showcase African creativity to international audiences.
