Kierra Sheard, J Drew Sheard II, and Kerry Douglas Honored at BMI's 2026 Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards

The 2026 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards, held yesterday (July 21) at BMI's Nashville office, honored Kierra Sheard with the BMI Impact Award for her influence on gospel music's future. Sheard also tied with her brother J Drew Sheard II and Kerry Douglas for BMI's Gospel Songwriter of the Year. 'Lead Me On' was named Gospel Song of the Year, and Capitol CMG Publishing received Publisher of the Year.
