Japan's 'Fujiko' Wins Uncaged Award at 25th New York Asian Film Festival

The 25th New York Asian Film Festival concluded its 17-day run on July 26 with the announcement of its award winners. Japan's "Fujiko" received the Uncaged Award for Best Feature Film, while Kazakhstan's "Turgaud" earned a Special Jury Mention. The Audience Award went to South Korean director Chung Ji-young's "My Name." The festival reported a 35 percent increase in admissions compared to 2025, surpassing 20,000 attendees.
