K-pop powerhouse HYBE and Big Hit Music are facing a federal copyright infringement lawsuit over BTS's hit single 'Swim.' American songwriters Steve Cooper, Jon Sandler, and Greylyn Johnson allege the track substantially copied their unreleased 2025 demo of the same name. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, targets prominent co-writers including Ryan Tedder and Derrick Milano.
