Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Bans Fully AI-Generated Songs from Official Charts

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has announced new guidelines, effective this Friday, that will ban 100% AI-generated tracks from appearing on its official charts. This decision follows backlash over a suspected AI track's recent chart success and aims to protect the "human nature of artistry" in the music industry. Songs with AI-generated lead vocals or key instrumental components will also be ineligible.
