Australia's Recording Industry Bans Fully AI-Generated Songs from Official Charts and Awards

Australia's recording industry, through the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), has announced that songs created entirely by artificial intelligence will no longer be eligible for the country's official music charts or top music awards. This move aligns with global standards set by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, emphasizing human artistry in music. The updated Charts Code of Practice took effect on August 31, 2026.
