California Attorney General Continues Fight Against Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Merger

California Attorney General Rob Bonta is actively working to block the proposed $110 billion merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, arguing that combining two major Hollywood studios and cable programmers would give the merged entity control over a significant portion of theatrical film and basic cable programming nationwide. A federal judge has already paused the deal, with the Writers Guild of America also pressing its case.
