Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Implements New Rules for AI-Generated Music on Official Charts

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has introduced new regulations stating that tracks created wholly or primarily by artificial intelligence will no longer be accepted on its official music charts. While AI-assisted recordings remain eligible if they are substantially human-made, these rules aim to protect human artistry and prevent artificial manipulation of streaming numbers. This move aligns with a broader initiative by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
