Paramount, California Officials, and WGA Schedule Talks on Warner Bros. Discovery Acquisition Lawsuits

Paramount, California officials, and the Writers Guild of America have agreed to formal settlement talks in October to resolve lawsuits that have delayed Paramount's proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The two-day conference, starting October 14, will be overseen by a U.S. Magistrate Judge, marking the first official meeting to explore a resolution. The Department of Justice also filed a statement supporting Paramount's demand for a $1.88 billion bond from the plaintiffs.
