Esports Confirmed to Retain Full Medal Status at Asian Games

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has confirmed that esports will maintain its full medal status at the Asian Games, refuting earlier reports of its potential removal. This clarification comes alongside plans for a new, separate Asian Esports and Mind Sports Games set to debut in Kuwait in 2027. The decision ensures esports' continued presence and development within the major continental sporting event.
