Emmy Awards to Exclusively Stream on Amazon Prime Video Starting 2027 in Six-Year Deal

The Television Academy and Amazon Prime Video have announced a landmark six-year agreement, making Prime Video the exclusive global home of the Emmy Awards starting in 2027. This deal ends the traditional "Wheel Deal" rotation among broadcast networks and will make the ceremony available for free to audiences in over 240 countries and territories. The move signifies a major shift in how major awards shows are distributed, following a trend of awards moving to streaming platforms.
