Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi's drama "Midday Meal" has been awarded the Best Film at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, making it eligible for submission to the Academy Awards' Best International Feature Film category. The festival, which concluded on October 15, 2026, also recognized Lee Yun Chan as Best Director for "To Be Ordinary" and Eddie Cahyono with the Special Jury Prize for "Ibuku."
