YouTube Music Introduces Labels for AI-Generated Songs

YouTube Music has begun labeling songs primarily created with generative AI, a feature rolled out on October 18, 2026. This initiative aims to inform listeners about the origin of tracks, distinguishing between human, machine, or hybrid creations. The labels are currently visible on the YouTube Music player page and are slated for expansion to the main YouTube application, impacting content transparency.
