K-Pop Stars, Including BTS, Boycott New Grammy Award for Best Asian Pop Music Performance

Several prominent K-Pop artists, including global sensation BTS, have announced a boycott of the Grammy Awards' newly created Best Asian Pop Music Performance category. The artists argue that music should be judged on its merits rather than being categorized by geography or language. With the submission process for the 2027 Grammys now complete, only a limited number of South Korean acts have entered the new category, indicating a significant stance from the K-Pop industry.
