Songwriter Drops Copyright Lawsuit Against Drake Over 'Janice STFU' Chorus

A songwriter who accused Drake of copying the chorus of his song 'Janice STFU' from a demo has dropped his lawsuit. Aviel Calev Hirschfield filed a notice in federal court in Los Angeles withdrawing the case in its entirety, just 11 days after the complaint was initially filed. The dismissal removes, for now, a claim on the profits of a track described as 'Drake's biggest hit in years'.
