US Imposes Sanctions on Iran's Shadow Banking Network

The United States has sanctioned 35 entities and individuals involved in Iran's shadow banking system. This action aims to intensify pressure on Tehran's oil revenue and its channels for funding military activities. The Treasury Department stated that these networks enable Iran's armed forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, to access the international financial system for illicit oil sales and weapons procurement.
