ECB President Lagarde Indicates Measured Response to Geopolitical Impacts

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde suggested the institution might not need to implement drastic policy changes in response to geopolitical events originating from the Middle East. She noted that while the Eurozone is experiencing significant inflation, it is unlikely to cause sustained long-term price increases. However, another ECB official, Isabel Schnabel, reaffirmed the necessity of additional interest rate increases to meet the 2% inflation target.
