Euro-Area CPI Rises 2.8% Year-on-Year in June, Undershooting Expectations

Euro-area Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.8% year-on-year in June, falling below the 3% consensus estimate and down from 3.2% in May. This undershoot was partly attributed to retreating oil prices, with core and services inflation also surprising to the downside.
