Eurostat releases EU retail trade growth rates for April and May 2026

Eurostat has published updated figures on retail trade growth rates across the European Union. For April 2026, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted month-on-month change for the EU27 was -0.1%, while the annual growth was +3.7% compared to April 2025. In May 2026, the month-on-month change rose to +0.6%, and the year-on-year increase reached +4.8%.
