World Bank Releases Annual Country Income Classifications for 2026-2027

The World Bank has announced its annual country income classifications, effective from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Thailand remains categorized as an upper-middle-income economy with a Gross National Income (GNI) per capita of US$7,690, which is below the high-income threshold of over US$14,375. Vietnam has moved into the upper-middle-income group for the first time.
