U.S. Direct Investment Abroad Position Increased to $7.14 Trillion at End of 2025

The U.S. direct investment abroad position, representing the cumulative level of investment, rose by $438.1 billion to $7.14 trillion at the end of 2025, according to statistics released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis on July 21, 2026. This increase was primarily driven by a $350.2 billion rise in the position in Europe.
