US Consumer Confidence Index Declines for July

The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index decreased to 90.8 in July, a 1.4-point drop from June's revised 92.2. This marks the third consecutive monthly decline in the Present Situation Index, reflecting consumers' worsening views on current business and labor market conditions. Although short-term expectations for income, business, and the labor market held steady, they remained below the threshold typically linked to recession concerns.
