U.S. Services Sector Maintains Strong Growth in July, ISM PMI Shows

The U.S. services sector continued its strong growth pace in July, with the Institute for Supply Management's nonmanufacturing purchasing managers index rising to 54.1 from 54.0 in June. An acceleration in new orders was noted, though this was offset by higher input prices and a decline in employment.
