US Nonfarm Business Sector Labor Productivity Increased 2.2 Percent in Q2 2026

Nonfarm business sector labor productivity in the United States rose by 2.2 percent from the second quarter of 2025 to the second quarter of 2026. This increase was driven by a 2.5 percent rise in output, while hours worked went up by 0.2 percent. Unit labor costs in the nonfarm business sector also saw an increase of 1.4 percent during the same period.
