Over 80% of Japanese companies have limited or no AI adoption, potentially hindering productivity.

A Reuters survey revealed that more than 80% of Japanese companies are either not using artificial intelligence (AI) or are employing it in a limited capacity. Approximately 60% of respondents indicated that AI is used only in some parts of their operations or in other restricted ways, while 18% have not decided on AI introduction, and 6% are not considering it at all. Only 16% have fully integrated AI company-wide. This trend could impede official efforts to boost productivity in Japan.
