A Wall Street Journal report revealed that leading technology companies, including Amazon and Alphabet, have accumulated an additional $3 trillion in AI-related liabilities, such as data center leases and technology purchase commitments, that are not reflected on their official balance sheets. This disclosure reportedly caused a stumble in the stocks of companies that benefit directly from the massive AI infrastructure build-out, such as GE Vernova and Vertiv.
