Eurozone Annual Inflation Rises to 3.3% in August, Highest This Year

The Eurozone's annual inflation rate reached 3.3% in August 2026, an increase from 2.9% in July, marking the highest level recorded this year. This acceleration was primarily driven by a sharp rise in energy costs, which saw an annual inflation rate jump to 14.3% from 10.3% in July. Services inflation, however, eased slightly to 3.0% from 3.3%. This data is released just over a week before the European Central Bank's next monetary policy meeting.
