The U.S. goods and services trade deficit increased to $88.6 billion in July 2026, up from a revised $71.2 billion in June. This widening was primarily driven by an increase in imports and a decrease in exports. The goods deficit expanded by $17.6 billion to $119.6 billion, while the services surplus saw a marginal increase of $0.2 billion to $31.0 billion.
