IMF Team to Visit Sri Lanka for Key Economic Reform Program Review

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff team, led by Mission Chief Evan Papageorgiou, is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka from September 10 to 23, 2026. The visit will focus on the combined Seventh Review of Sri Lanka's reform program under the IMF's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement and the 2026 Article IV Consultation, assessing the country's progress in implementing economic reforms and recent macroeconomic developments.
