Federal Register Announces Expanded Examination Cycle for Small Insured Depository Institutions

An interim final rule has been published in the Federal Register, effective September 14, 2026, which expands the examination cycle for certain small insured depository institutions and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks. Comments on the rule are open until October 14, 2026.
